Igloo is a certified Certicold Pharma refrigerant kit, reusable, that allows for the protection of medication for one hour at +2 °C/+8 °C. It’s a technical feat for a product of this size and above all ! A product that addresses a major issue: maintaining the cold chain of temperature-sensitive medications to avoid altering their quality or making them harmful!
This insulated, refrigerating pouch (with cold supply) is the result of two years’ research and numerous collaborations with laboratories, wholesalers, hospitals and pharmacies. Nearly 600 tests have been conducted to develop this quality insulated solution, designed for the safety and health of each patient.

By offering an Igloo pouch, you enable your patients to transport their medication without breaking the cold chain until they reach their home. The medication will be well protected in the cold for one hour. You simply need to wrap the soft gel bag around the medication and hand the closed pouch to your patient. This way, they can easily go to their medical appointment for treatment administration or return home and keep the pouch in the refrigerator for 12 hours before use.

In eight years, the amount of temperature-sensitive medication has increased by nearly 50%. Today, one in two medicines are temperature-sensitive (vaccines, insulin, medications for multiple sclerosis, chronic inflammatory diseases, etc.).
However, the insulated pouches that previously existed on the market did not meet the standards of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists nor the constraints of pharmacies: no eutectic gel inside the pouch to provide cold, no certification, no regulatory constraints and cold preservation limited to a few minutes. We have taken on this issue and developed the Igloo pouch.
The volume of the Igloo pouch is suitable for 80% of temperature-sensitive medicines, but we are already planning to develop a larger version for bulkier products.
